If your little leaguer has some unexplained superstitions about what might bring good luck during a game, this book could be helpful. Luis laughs when he hears that someone wore the same stinky socks for an entire baseball season for good luck. Then he notices that he plays really well on the days when he samples the snacks at the supermarket, but poorly on the days when he does not. Fortunately, Luis’s father convinces him that practice and concentration are more important to Luis’s success at the game than any superstition. This book is recommended for kindergarten through second grades.
